The WPI Club Alpine and Nordic Ski Team is a competitive ski racing team that competes in the USCSA Eastern Thompson Division. Members of the team participate in alpine or nordic ski racing events. Alpine events include giant slalom (GS), slalom (SL), and dual slalom.

During C term the team travels to different states in New England to participate in races against other universities including Northeastern, Tufts, Holy Cross, Connecticut College, and Boston University.

The team has qualified for USCSA Regionals and Nationals!

ACS On Campus is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty, and staff dedicated
to eliminating cancer by initiating and supporting programs of the American Cancer Society
in college communities. The chapter of ACS On Campus at WPI exists to implement these
purposes in the WPI community.

The purpose of this organization is to facilitate the development of student’s technical engineering skills within the field of underwater robotics. Our goal is to compete annually in the International Robosub Competition by RoboNation. To accomplish this, we must build (and annually re-build) an autonomous underwater vehicle. We hope to create an extracurricular environment where students can confidently push the limits of their engineering knowledge. The Worcester Polytechnic Institute Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Club embraces WPI’s focus on project-based learning. The club aims to provide WPI students with a unique introduction to marine engineering, and the many environmental possibilities it offers.

The primary responsibility of the WPI Ballroom Dance Team is to extend the knowledge and ability of its members. A secondary responsibility is to advertise and invite non-members to participate in learning the rudiments of ballroom dancing. The WPI CollabLab is a student maker organization which administers a member-operated lab space and provides a collaborative community with the goal of fostering and facilitating extracurricular student projects at WPI. These projects include Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Science, cosplay, woodworking, and much more. Members have access to the tools, parts, knowledge, inspiration, and assistance necessary to cultivate their own out-of-class projects. The international makerspace movement is growing rapidly. Makerspaces tend to be loosely organized, governed by consensus, and infused with an almost utopian spirit of cooperation, sharing, and technological enthusiasm. Basically, everyone builds what they want, when they want, how they want. If one person prefers to focus on one aspect of a project more than another, they just...do. If a group of people decide to form together to work on a much larger project (e.g. putting a hacker in space) they just...do. It's as easy as that!

Founded in 1979, the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Jazz Group regularly tours the globe, hosts regional festivals and symposia, and invites renowned jazz players/composers/educators to the campus and the Worcester area for concerts and clinics.
Directed by Professor Douglas Olsen, Stage Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, and Brass Band perform a wide range of literature, often in concerts, TV shows, festivals, educational programs, banquets, and charity fund-raisers, and for audio/video recordings! The Pep Band welcomes members of all musical abilities, so don’t be discouraged if you’ve never played or marched before; we can help you learn! Our color guard is open to anyone willing to learn to spin. The Pep Band offers P.E. credit for members participating in football and/or basketball season, and participation in Pep Band for four seasons will fulfill your P.E. requirement at WPI. In addition to offering academic credit, our rehearsals and performances are tons of fun. The Pep Band is a spirited bunch that has a lot to offer its members, including a friendly community, fun events, and great music!

Mission
The purpose of the WPI Men’s Club Lacrosse team is to offer students interested in lacrosse, and/or playing the sport, an opportunity to experience the game at a college level. The club will focus on teaching those less experienced players basic skills and rules pertinent to the game and allow members to experience college lacrosse. Terms of membership: The men's club lacrosse team is intended to teach the sport of men's lacrosse, however, membership is open to any member of the WPI community.

Members will have the opportunity to practice and compete as a team against other schools in the CLC conference of the MCLA. We offer seasonal use of helmets, pinnies, uniforms, and other select equipment during the season that is returned at the end of the year. We have two experienced coaches who help players refine technique and skills to improve their game. We offer gym credit for C and D term.
