WPI EMS Mission Statement
We provide opportunities for members to grow in their emergency medical knowledge. We provide the opportunity to gain Basic Life Support CPR certification, an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. We hope to connect with all members of the WPI community, those with experience to those looking to learn just a little bit more about emergency medicine.
WPI EMS is aligned with the WPI Mission Statement. It seeks to foster leadership and camaraderie through the development of clinical and cognitive skills among its membership. WPI EMS seeks to prepare its members for successful careers in public safety and healthcare by giving members the responsibility of acting as out-of-hospital clinicians for the WPI community.
WPI EMS serves the WPI community by providing medical coverage and timely response to medical emergencies on the WPI campus by recruiting, training, and developing students as professional healthcare providers.
WPI EMS promotes medical preparedness and harm reduction for the WPI community through public outreach, training, and other aligned educational events.
