The mission of the WPI Cricket Club is to create a welcoming, inclusive, and beginner-friendly community where students of all experience levels can learn, play, and enjoy cricket. Through both beginner-friendly box cricket and more competitive traditional cricket, the club strives to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, healthy recreation, and an appreciation for the sport while bringing together members of the WPI community.
Members of the WPI Cricket Club have the opportunity to: * Learn and improve their cricket skills regardless of previous experience. * Participate in beginner-friendly box cricket as well as more competitive traditional cricket. * Attend club practices, matches, tournaments, skill-building sessions, and other events. * Meet and connect with other students who share an interest in cricket. * Participate in a welcoming community that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy recreation. * Attend general club meetings and contribute ideas toward improving club activities. * Become an Active Member by participating in at least two club activities or matches per term. * As an Active Member, vote in club elections, nominate candidates, and run for Executive Board positions. * Gain opportunities for leadership, event organization, and greater involvement within the Cricket Club.
