We held a collaboration with the i3 lab to learn about what it takes to create a successful startup! We heard from WPI student Jelal Gylychmuhammedov, who has won funding in many local pitch competitions for his start-up, BrailleBox.
We concluded with a pitch competition, where we had to come up with a start-up based on random items given to us. We had a lot of fun, and the winners got free i3 merch :)

We had a great GBM getting to know the other members of WiCS! Whether it was catching up with an old friend or meeting someone new, it was fun learning about each other's academic and personal goals (and adding LinkedIn connections!)

We hosted a Q&A with 4 WPI WiCS alumni!

We had a galentines celebration
with our WiCS members, sponsored by Halfday iced tea! There were lots of arts and crafts, card making, temporary tattoos, pizza. We had a lot of fun celebrating with our members!

We held a workshop in collaboration with ACM, teaching the basics of GitHub! Be sure to join us at 5pm on Wednesday, 2/4, in SL406 to help you prepare for the Spring Career Fair on Thursday!

Today we had a casual, cozy meeting! We had a great time unwinding with coloring pages and drinking hot chocolate.

We had an informative night with a panel of WPI students who've interned with Dell. Not only did we learn about the opportunities that Dell has to offer, but we raffled off a lot of free merch (water bottles, tote bags, towels, etc.) and ate a lot of Domino's pizza and garlic knots!
