Carlo Goldoni's commedia dell’arte play follows Truffaldino, a clever but constantly hungry servant who takes on the risky task of serving two masters at the same time in order to improve his pay and meals. As he juggles their demands, his schemes create a chain of misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and near-disasters that affect several young lovers and their families.
