About AWM

The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics is to create a community in which women and girls can thrive in their mathematical endeavors, and to promote equitable opportunity and treatment of women and others of marginalized genders and gender identities across the mathematical sciences.

About Our Chapter

Our WPI AWM Student Chapter aims to encourage, support, promote, and bring awareness to the wonderful work of women in all areas of the mathematical sciences.

What We Do

We host various events throughout the academic year, including an AWM Speaker Series, personal and professional development workshops, and our annual Sonia Kovalevsky (SK) Day outreach event for middle school students each spring. Learn more about our past events at our blog!
