Mission The mission of WPI S.M.A.R.T is to mentor the concept of social responsibility on our campus by instilling a culture of care between our Friends, Peers, and Institution through educating and supporting members of the WPI community regarding safe social habits.
Membership BenefitsS.M.A.R.T is open for membership to any undergraduate student who is a member of the WPI community. Section 3.01 - Governing Body Status To hold a position on the Governing Body, one must attend a majority of Executive Meetings and maintain the same requirements as an Active Member. Section 3.02 - Active Status A member shall be considered active if they are: a undergraduate student at WPI and, attend at least one S.M.A.R.T General Body meeting per academic term andparticipate in at least one S.M.A.R.T sponsored event per academic termOnly members who are active in their final term before graduation are permitted to receive graduation cords and must return them in a timely manner after graduation ceremonies. Section 3.03 - Member Status To be considered a member, one must attend an official S.M.A.R.T meeting and participate in a SMART sponsored event. Section 3.04 - Statement of Equal Opportunity S.M.A.R.T will not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, religion, color, age, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, marital status, political affiliation, national origin or IQ. The Organization ensures that its membership will not practice any physically or psychologically abusive hazing behaviors either intentionally or unintentionally.
