Kalvin Cummings - Wednesday, January 15, 2025
 Events
Dear [FIRST_NAME],

A Wintry Welcome Back!

Greetings from your Office of Diversity Inclusion and Multicultural Education! Please see below for some updates as you settle in for the new Term.

Come Visit Our Spaces, (They) Have Missed You! Here are some things to keep in mind as community members who share space:

Policies and Procedures Identity Spaces – Expectations

  • "These spaces are thoughtfully designed to serve identity-specific purposes and foster a sense of belonging for underrepresented groups; however, they remain open to all students. Please keep in mind that these spaces are managed by ODIME, and no individual club or organization has ownership over them. We kindly ask that everyone be considerate of others who may also wish to use the space throughout the week. Their primary intent is to promote student success and cultivate a sense of community for all who utilize them. We would appreciate your support in ensuring that no barriers are placed for others who wish to use these spaces. Kindly utilize 25Live to reserve the spaces. Thank you for your cooperation in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.”

  • Removed Fridges
    • Due to biohazard concerns, fridges have been removed from (1) The Center for Black Excellence (2) The Lavendar Lounge (3) The Lotus Lounge during the recess in terms. We have struggled to maintain food waste and food spoilage since introducing them into identity spaces. They have been removed in order that our spaces remain safe and hygienic for your use.
