Mission Our chapter of Material Advantage exists to connect students in materials science and engineering with opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and community. We aim to bridge the gap between the classroom and the materials industry by providing access to technical resources, networking with professionals, and hands-on experiences that prepare us to lead the future of materials research and engineering. Membership in this group is open to all students who have an interest in this topic. There are no restrictions based on identity, background, beliefs, or affiliation. The group welcomes anyone who wishes to participate, contribute, and support its mission, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all members.
Membership BenefitsMaterial Advantage is a professional club for students studying or interested in material science. Material Advantage is a national organization that provides students with membership to 4 professional societies (ASM, TMS, ACerS, AIST) and access to many scholarships, internships, and professional opportunities. As a chapter on WPI's campus, we will connect graduate and undergraduate students interested in material science with social and professional development events and network with local professional chapters and companies.
