Mission The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is an American professional association that, in its own words, "promotes the art, science, and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe" via "continuing education, training and professional development, codes and standards, research, conferences and publications, government relations, and other forms of outreach. Membership in this group is open to all students who have an interest in this topic. There are no restrictions based on identity, background, beliefs, or affiliation. The group welcomes anyone who wishes to participate, contribute, and support its mission, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all members.
Membership BenefitsOn campus, we host a variety of events from guest speakers to destressors. ASME also hosts several events that work on developing your interview skills and manufacturing skills. Being a member also allows you to apply to mechanical engineering specific scholarships and conventions. Any WPI mechanical engineering student, is eligible to join our student chapter.
